The suite was spacious but felt dated. I think a good scrub is necessary. A strong smell of smoke permeated the building. It was not pleasant. The breakfast wasn't great either.

the house had a noticeable smell of smoke downstairs, it was quite strong. the bedding had some stains, this impacted my overall impression of cleanliness.

Really good Stay, A Home Away from Home!

John is a cute host and provided generous breakfasts in the beautiful dining room. My room, a Beautiful Suite, included an adjoining lounge area. This was fantastic! The hotel's location is in a quiet area near New Forest land. It was fun seeing the ponies.
The house had a noticeable smell of smoke, something I found inconvenient, especially because it is advertised as a non-smoking hotel (I wish this was addressed).

The location is in a tranquil private road on the edge of the village. The hotel is opposite New Forest land, offering quick access to nature walks. I saw ponies just across the street!

The breakfast included an excellent selection of fresh fruit with yogurt and granola. A cooked breakfast was available served on a silver platter. I loved the variety of fresh fruit offered!
