MOORHILL HOUSE BED & BREAKFAST, Burley (Hampshire)

Moorhill House Bed & Breakfast holds an AA Rosette for culinary excellence, offering guests a restaurant that serves high-quality dishes. The Sunday roast receives consistent praise for generous portions of beef, chicken, and a weekly guest joint, all served with fresh vegetables and homemade Yorkshire pudding. Gluten-free options are available across the menu, from starters to desserts, and the bar stocks gluten-free beer.

The hotel underwent a multi-million pound refurbishment, with rooms decorated in a New Forest theme using high-quality furnishings. Some rooms include four-poster beds, seating areas, and balconies, while family rooms offer bunk beds for children. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with either a bath or shower, flat-screen TV, and tea and coffee facilities.

Moorhill House sits in a quiet wooded lane at the edge of Burley, with direct access to New Forest trails from the garden. Guests regularly see wild deer and ponies in the orchard and car park, and the village of Burley is a short walk away for shops and eateries. Paultons Family Theme Park, home of Peppa Pig World, is a 30-minute drive from the hotel.

Dogs receive a welcome pack containing a bed, bowls, treats, and a voucher for a sausage at breakfast. Pets are allowed in all public areas, including the bar, restaurant, and lounge, and the garden has a large enclosed area for off-leash play. Staff routinely remember returning dogs by name and provide extra cuddles and treats throughout the stay.

The hotel offers a heated indoor pool for year-round relaxation, plus a tranquil garden that can host outdoor wedding ceremonies. Families benefit from children's activities, and the function room accommodates parties of up to 26 guests for celebrations. Ample free parking includes an electric vehicle charging station, and CCTV covers all public areas for security.
