lovely stay!

the staff was very friendly, and helpful. location are close to the beach, sight seeing buses, and town centre. i found the outdoor pool heated, and the snack selection including vegan and vegetarian options. the cocktails tasted really good especially the tropical and bay breeze flavor.
the hotel lacked air conditioning in my room. it was bit too warm for sleeping one night.

The bathroom really needed some attention. It felt outdated and definitely not what I expect. The toilet seat was loose, and the shower temperature was hard to control, going from cold to scalding! The towels looked worn. They were not soft at all. These issues brought down the overall quality.

i stayed in an accessible room with twin profiling beds. they were the most comfortable beds EVER. my partner had trouble with the grabrail next to the toilet, IT was wobbley. the staff fixed it the next day.
on the first night one window would not open so we rang down to reception. the next day the window was fixed but the room still felt hot.

I had meals in the retreat each evening. The meals were delicious. i was able to reserve a table in the snug area. it made me comfortable knowing i could have a decent table.

my partner did not use the changing places facility, but I looked at it and it was amazing. it HAS state of the art facilities for disabled people. it is worth looking at the pictures of this on the hotel website.

peaceful seaside stay

i got upgraded to a twin room on the first floor. it included a bath, as the hotel wasn't busy on a sunday night. i enjoyed a luxury hot bath and i slept very well in this very comfortable room. i sat by the swimming pool in the morning sunshine. the whole experience was peaceful and relaxing.
the room was okay, but it was hotter than the sun as there is no air conditioning and only a tiny fan. the nights stay was unbearable. i know the hotel is aware of this issue, but doesn't fix it.

the hotel is close to the beach. the hotel has a high position on the cliff. this placement means it is quiet in the evening and still very accessible.

the staff is always friendly and cheerful. they remember me and are helpful. i am always grateful for their kindness. the manager was also helpful and tried hard.
