Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The East End Arms offers clean and comfortable rooms, some featuring delightful extras like a Nespresso machine and gentle bathroom lighting. Many guests appreciate the cooked-to-order breakfast and the pub's character, especially the shaded patio area. Being near Pylewell Park makes it a convenient stay for wedding attendees, and the location allows for scenic views of donkeys and ponies wandering by; however, some guests have mentioned the possibility of warm temperatures in rooms during hot weather, though a fan is thoughtfully provided.

Acceptable Stay with Food Concerns

excellent showerdry bread
The room was super clean and cozy with a big bath and an excellent shower.
I found the food to be disappointing overall. My 'crispy' bacon wasn't crispy at all. The sandwich was made with dry packet bread and no butter.

Wonderful Food and Friendly Service

garden tablehomemade relishexcellent burgerfriendly staff
The weather was lovely. We felt very lucky to be there. The lady took our order right at the table. We shared crispy chili beef on noodles for starters, then enjoyed burgers. Both dishes proved excellent and the homemade relish was fabulous. I found it a very nice place just stopping for a drink!
The bed was two single beds pushed together, a small inconvenience. I would have expected a higher standard given the positive aspects.
Dining
9/10
The menu offers excellent choices and high-quality ingredients. The twice-baked cheese soufflé is a standout. My lunch included efficiently served food, and the waiter Ed was very lovely. Breakfast featured good quality ingredients and tasted great.
Facilities
8/10
The pub offers a patio area shaded by fabric. It proved very nice in sunny weather. There is also a beautiful outdoor space available. I did not use many facilities, though I saw a good coffee machine in the room.
Service
10/10
Staff are very friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough to please all guests. The lady took our order at the table, which I appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend the beautifully situated restaurant and friendly service.
Location
9/10
The location is quiet and set amongst beautiful countryside. I had easy driving distance to some lovely restaurants. It is also a convenient fifteen-minute walk to the seafront.
Rooms
9/10
The room I had was fairly spacious and very clean with tea, coffee, and bottled water available. The bed was super comfy with high-quality bedding and pillows. I liked the coffee machine in the room too.
