A Calm Retreat

The grounds include an outdoor swimming pool. I observed guests using a putting course. The spacious lawn had people doing keep-fit exercises. The main restaurant food tasted delicious and the service was very attentive. Breakfast includes a full English option. Continental selections were also available. The Waterford restaurant offered food presented perfectly. The ribeye steak was cooked just right.

My room was in a separate annex. It lacked the charm of the main building.

We found spacious and comfortable rooms with large beds. We enjoyed having both a bath and a separate shower. The indoor swimming pool provided a great option during a rainy day. Breakfast offered various choices with better quality than expected in similar hotels.

The signage to rooms away from the main building was not clear enough.

Wonderful Wedding Stay!

I stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Mel Lockley stood out for her really good service! She was always busy but ensured we had everything we needed. The room was very comfortable. The pillows were genuinely the best I have ever used.

The pillow comfort in my room was really good! I hope they do not change their pillow supplier.

the breakfast room seemed nice and spacious with a wide selection available.

i was hoping for a relaxing spa hotel, but it missed the mark. the outdoor pool was overrun with children and inflatables making it noisy. the indoor pool changing rooms felt wet and slippery and the pool water looked cloudy to me.

the room size was good and the bed was comfortable. the venue itself was lovely, i liked the spa weekend included a good dinner, an excellent cream tea and prosecco on arrival, as well as a treatment each. all the staff are lovely and helpful.
