i found the bed comfortable. new year's eve featured such amazing entertainment. the dinner service impressed me so much! i also appreciated the dog-friendly amenities including a bed, bowls, and a goody-bag (they really thought of everything!).
the window in my room opened just a crack, limiting ventilation, a slight inconvenience.

the hotel sits near a main road offering good access to nearby attractions. the building is surrounded by a garden including a river (a very beautiful place!). i found on-site parking convenient.

i booked a 2 night stay and received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, a fantastic surprise! it included a super-king bed, a comfortable lounge, and a huge bathroom with a roll-top bath. the staff was attentive, even bringing dinner to our room so i could watch the rugby. breakfast was plentiful, with a huge variety of options.
Music from the bar filtered upstairs to the rooms, starting around 7 am. It stopped late into the evening.
