mixed feelings about the stay
expensive drinks limited choice
breakfast offered a good variety of choices.
i found the hotel to be very overpriced. the food was mediocre, with limited choices and no vegetables included. drinks were ridiculously expensive, and tips were automatically added, even when ordering at the bar..

breakfast options double bedroom food choices threadbare carpet short lead offhand staff
i enjoyed the excellent breakfast options , including a buffet and cooked english breakfast. the double bedroom was lovely with plenty of space. the food in henry's bar was excellent with a good range of choices for main courses and desserts.
the carpet leading to my room was threadbare and needs replacing. the kettle lead was too short , causing it to fall. i found the staff to be a bit offhand , which was surprising.

Mixed Experience at Riverview Hotel
missing prosecco offhand staff
The location near the river was acceptable.
I was disappointed that Prosecco I booked for my wife was not in our room upon arrival. I canceled it because. Staff seemed offhand, possibly due to complacency or staff shortages.

a bit underwhelming, room for improvement
short kettle lead threadbare carpet
the staff were cute when i arrived, which i appreciated.
The kettle in my room had a lead that was too short! it kept falling over when i tried to use it, it was quite inconvenient. the carpet leading to the room was also threadbare and needed replacement. That looked really shabby.

Good Stay in a Riverview Room
spacious layout comfortable bed traditional furniture cooked options
My Riverview room featured a spacious layout and offered ample light through large windows. The four poster bed was comfortable, and it really added to the room's character. I particularly enjoyed the mismatched, traditional furniture. It gave the room a unique charm. Breakfast offered a wide array of choices, and I liked the freshly cooked options.
The uneven stairs leading to my room were a little tricky, especially with luggage, i FELT.
